Q: Do you offer industry-recognised qualifications?

A: The Pet Studio teaches the City & Guilds qualification, which is one of the main recognised qualification pathways available to future dog groomers.

Q: Will the teaching be structured to my needs?

A: The Pet Studio works with each individual student and provides customised teaching to ensure the training meets your needs. In respect of the City & Guilds qualification, we are required to teach in accordance with stricter guidelines but we always ensure that our students’ learning journey is relevant and adapted to your needs as much as possible.

Q: What is the teaching to student ratio?

A: We pride ourselves in small class sizes because we find that our students learn so much better in smaller groups.  Therefore, we have no more than six students at any one time, and we maintain a 3:1 student/staff ratio. That way, our students will always benefit from our full attention and guidance.

Q: Do you keep up to date with grooming styles and training?

A: Yes! Our trainers regularly attend dog grooming seminars and workshops in order to keep track of the latest trends and fashions in the grooming world, and then we can pass this knowledge onto our students.

Q: Do you keep in touch with your students after the course is complete?

A: The Pet Studio offers ongoing work experience in our grooming salon (based in Congresbury & Nailsea) for confidence-building and to help to polish your new skills. Liza is always available if further help and advice is needed.  What’s more, a dedicated, private Student Facebook group and WhatsApp group has been set up for all students to join for advice, tips, information and sharing of grooms in a friendly and helpful environment. So, even once your training is complete, you’re not alone – you have your grooming family at The Pet Studio with you every step of the way.
